A brief job description is as follows: Able to operate class 2 with air vehicles both left and right hand drive

• Maintain tour schedule
• Maintain bus appearance
• Able to learn the tour route, all bus stops and control commentary
• Observe all by-laws and rules of the road
• Sell tickets and packages using a point of sale machine (cash and credit cards)
• Develop instant relationship with people
• Be the face and image of Big Bus to the general public
• Reporting directly to Controller

Sales Agents

Big Bus is currently looking for young, enthusiastic, dynamic personalities to greet and sell tourist packages and tickets.  These people must be high paced, not afraid to talk to anyone and be super friendly.  A brief job description is as follows:

• Greeting everyone (tourists) at key street locations
• Sell tickets and packages using a point of sale machine (cash and credit cards)
• Develop instant relationship with people
• Be the face and image of Big Bus to the general public
• Resolve concerns and assist with general tourism information
• Develop supporting role to drivers
• Reporting directly to Controller
• Attend staff meeting and parties

• Happy, approachable and energetic
• Completely trustworthy
• Interested in tourism and sales
• Strong group dynamics and communication
• Cold calling experience an asset
• Multi-lingual an asset

Tour Desk Agents

Big Bus is currently looking for friendly, professional, well organized individuals to act as a concierge selling tours and assisting in general tourism and other information.  These people must be self motivated and are interested in the customer service/tourism industry. A brief job description is as follows:

• Sell tickets and packages using a point of sale machine (cash and credit cards)
• Develop instant relationship with people
• Be the face and image of Big Bus to the general public
• Reporting directly to Controller
• Attend staff meetings and parties

• Happy, approachable and energetic
• Competent in computers (Word, Excel etc..)
• Completely trustworthy
• Interested in tourism and sales
• Multi-lingual an asset
• Willing to learn and listen
• Creative and have good reporting
• Tourism or business related degree an asset

Controller - Supervisor

Big Bus is currently looking for a young energetic individual who is super friendly, great with people and handling challenging situations.  They should be an amazing multi-tasker and able to be in charge of many staff at one time.  A brief job description is as follows:

• Control our fleet of buses, making key decisions to stay on schedule
• Sell tickets and packages outside our Gastown location
• Organize daily street sales agents and supervise their progress
• Handle customer concerns and resolve possible problems
• Assist in the training of sales agents and constant communication
• Reporting directly to Operations Manager and streamline effectiveness
• Assist in organizing staff meetings and parties

• Exceptional at multitasking, leadership and communication
• Hard worker who is prepared to "own the position"
• Bold but not overbearing
• Exceptional selling track record
• Experience in working with staff supervisory role preferred
• Multi-lingual capabilities an asset
• Fluent in English
• Bus Driver - Class 2 license an asset
• Able to make quick decisions during high stress situations, and maintain composure
